Quick answer

Our Fresh Menu is complete, gently steam-cooked dog food made in our own kitchen from human-grade European ingredients, with no artificial additives. It comes in resealable glass jars that keep in the cupboard unopened, so there's no freezer, no thawing and no metallic tins.

Feed around 2–3% of your dog's body weight a day (300–450g for a 15kg dog), switch over gradually across 5–7 days, and choose from 11 recipes built around 10 proteins.

Simple, Healthy Fresh Dog Food

Gently steam-cooked, human-grade European ingredients and nothing artificial

If you're tired of frozen blocks that need thawing, tins that smell metallic, or kibble that doesn't seem to suit your dog, meet our Fresh Menu range. Packed in resealable glass jars, these meals bring proper home-cooked goodness straight to your dog's bowl, without any of the fuss.

Made in Our Own Pet Food Kitchen

Every jar starts in our in-house pet food kitchen. We use only fresh, human-grade ingredients sourced entirely from Europe: pure muscle meat, nutritious offal, vegetables, fruit, high-quality oils and natural minerals. Nothing processed, nothing synthetic.

Our secret? There isn't one. We use a gentle steam-cooking process at low temperatures. Traditional canned food is typically cooked at around 130°C, which can destroy vitamins and turn meat to mush. We cook briefly and gently instead, locking in natural flavour and nutrients and keeping the texture of real meat and veg.

The result: a 100% natural, highly digestible meal that smells and tastes like proper food, because it is proper food.

How We Make Our Fresh Dog Food

Every jar goes through the same simple, careful three-step process:

Fresh ingredients laid out ready for preparation Beef Fresh Menu in a glass jar Beef Fresh Menu served in a bowl
  1. Sourcing and preparation

We source fresh, wholesome ingredients from across Europe and prepare them in our kitchen. We keep mincing to a minimum so the meat keeps its natural chunks and structure, and dice fruit and vegetables into bite-sized pieces that are easy to enjoy and digest.

  2. Gentle steam-cooking

Each jar is filled and gently steam-cooked at low temperatures, keeping natural nutrients and flavour without synthetic additives, binders or preservatives. Every jar is then sterilised, just like a jar of pasta sauce or jam, so it keeps unopened for up to 12 months.

  3. Inspection and delivery

Every batch has a final quality check before it leaves our kitchen. Approved jars are labelled and packed into protective shipping cartons, and your order arrives within three days, ready for your dog's first Fresh Menu meal.

"My dog enjoys this food, looks forward to mealtime and always finishes the bowl! The product looks fresh and high-quality. It arrived quickly and was very well packaged, which I appreciate. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and will definitely be ordering again."

Which Flavours Do We Offer?

Our Fresh Menu range covers 11 recipes built around 10 proteins, so you can rotate proteins and keep mealtimes interesting. Every recipe is complete on its own, and even better when you mix and match. There's plenty of choice for picky eaters, sensitive tummies and dogs who simply love variety.

For dogs with sensitive tummies, our hypoallergenic Fresh Menu recipes are a good place to start.

How Much Fresh Food Should You Feed?

As a starting point, serve around 2–3% of your dog's body weight a day. For example, a 15kg dog needs about 300–450g a day (15kg × 2% = 300g, 15kg × 3% = 450g). Here's how that works across a range of weights:

Daily Fresh Menu amounts by body weight
Dog's weight Daily food at 2% Daily food at 3%
5kg 100g 150g
10kg 200g 300g
15kg 300g 450g
20kg 400g 600g
30kg 600g 900g

Please note: these are starting guidelines. Needs vary with age, activity and metabolism, so use your dog's body condition as the real guide and adjust portions up or down. Full feeding guidelines are on every jar and on each product page.

Switching to Fresh Food

  1. Start small

Mix a little Fresh Menu into your dog's current food for the first couple of days.

  2. Increase gradually

Slowly increase the fresh food and reduce the old food over 5–7 days.

  3. Rotate and enjoy

Once your dog is fully switched, try rotating recipes to give them variety and a wider range of natural nutrients.

The Benefits Owners See with Fidelis Fresh Menu

Fresh Dog Food FAQs

What is fresh dog food?

Fresh dog food is made from real, minimally processed ingredients rather than dried or heavily processed ones. Our Fresh Menu is made from human-grade European meat, offal, vegetables, fruit and oils, gently steam-cooked at low temperatures to keep natural nutrients and flavour.

Is Fidelis Fresh Menu a complete food?

Yes. Every Fresh Menu recipe is complete on its own, so it can be fed as your dog's main diet. Many owners also rotate recipes for variety.

How long does Fresh Menu last?

Unopened jars are sterilised and keep in the cupboard for up to 12 months, with no freezer needed. Once opened, put the lid back on and keep the jar in the fridge for 2–3 days.

How much Fresh Menu should I feed my dog?

As a starting point, feed around 2–3% of your dog's body weight a day. For a 15kg dog, that's about 300–450g. Adjust based on age, activity and body condition, and check the feeding guide on each jar.

How do I switch my dog to fresh food?

Switch gradually over 5–7 days. Start by mixing a small amount of Fresh Menu into your dog's current food, then slowly increase the fresh food and reduce the old food until you've fully switched.

Why is your fresh dog food in glass jars?

Glass is taste-neutral, recyclable and resealable, with no metallic taste or plastic waste. Unopened jars keep in the cupboard, so there's no freezer space or thawing needed.

How is steam-cooking different from canned dog food?

Traditional canned food is typically cooked at around 130°C, which can destroy vitamins and break down the texture of the meat. We steam-cook gently at low temperatures, which helps keep natural nutrients and flavour, and the texture of real meat and vegetables.

Which flavour should I choose?

There are 11 recipes across 10 proteins: beef, chicken, pork, salmon, duck, turkey, rabbit, lamb, goat and horse. Rotating proteins keeps mealtimes interesting, and novel proteins such as horse or goat can suit dogs with sensitivities.

Ready to Give Your Dog the Best Fresh Food?

Whether you're switching from kibble, raw or tins, our Fresh Menu in glass jars makes the change easy. No freezer faff and no compromise on quality, just gentle, European-sourced nutrition your dog will love.
