Quick answer
Our Air-Dried Menu is gently air-dried at low temperatures instead of being extruded like kibble. It's made in our own kitchen from human-grade European ingredients, with no binders, fillers or artificial additives, so you get much of the goodness of fresh feeding with the convenience of dry food.
It's a complementary food, designed to be fed alongside our Fresh Menu or your dog's current raw diet. It comes in five proteins, needs no thawing, and stays fresh for up to 6 weeks once opened.
Gently Air-Dried, Made with Human-Grade Ingredients
Free from artificial additives: just clean, honest nutrition
If you're fed up with highly processed kibble, messy raw feeding, or meals that lack real substance, our Air-Dried Menu range is a simpler way forward. No thawing and no prep, just nutrient-rich, ready-to-serve food that brings the benefits of fresh feeding with the convenience of dry.
Lightweight, shelf-stable and packed with real ingredients, it's proper food made practical, wherever you are.
Made in Our Own Pet Food Kitchen
Every batch starts in our in-house pet food kitchen. We use only fresh, human-grade ingredients sourced entirely from Europe: pure muscle meat, nutritious offal, vegetables, fruit and high-quality oils. Nothing ultra-processed, nothing synthetic.
Instead of high-heat extrusion, we gently air-dry our food at low temperatures. Traditional kibble is cooked under intense heat and pressure, which can strip away nutrients and flavour. Our slow air-drying keeps the natural goodness of every ingredient and the structure of real meat and veg.
The result: a 100% natural, nutrient-dense, highly digestible food that looks, smells and tastes like real food, because it is real food.
How We Make Our Air-Dried Dog Food
Every batch goes through the same simple, careful three-step process:
-
Sourcing and shaping
We source fresh, wholesome ingredients from across Europe and gently mince them into easy-to-serve nuggets. We never use binding agents or fillers: the nuggets are formed in a frozen environment and hold their shape naturally.
-
Gentle air-drying
Each batch is air-dried at low temperatures to remove moisture while keeping natural nutrients and flavour, with no additives, binders or preservatives. The result is a naturally shelf-stable food with minimal processing.
-
Inspection and packing
Every batch is quality-checked, with nuggets inspected for consistency. The food is then packed in black, resealable bags that protect nutrients from light and keep it fresh for up to 6 weeks once opened.
"My 2 rescued fur babies absolutely love this food. At first I was sceptical so only bought a small bag, but that finished really quickly so next I bought the larger pack. I highly recommend this food."
Why We Air-Dry Instead of Extruding
Most kibble is extruded: forced through a machine under high heat and pressure. Here's how our gentle air-drying compares:
| Fidelis air-dried | Typical extruded kibble | |
|---|---|---|
| Cooking method | Low and slow air-drying | High heat and pressure |
| Nutrition | Keeps more of the original goodness of real ingredients | Heat and pressure can strip away nutrients |
| Binders and fillers | None needed; nuggets hold their shape naturally | Often relies on starches or binders to form the kibble |
| Processing | Minimal | Ultra-processed |
| Taste and texture | Closer to real food, with a satisfying crunch | Uniform, processed texture |
-
Shelf-stable
No freezing needed, so it's perfect for the cupboard, adventures and feeding on the go.
-
Gently air-dried
Low-temperature drying keeps natural nutrients and flavour.
-
Easy to serve
Lightweight: just portion, pour and feed. No prep, no thawing.
-
Naturally preserved
No artificial additives, fillers or high-heat processing.
It's a clean, practical way to add variety alongside your dog's raw diet, or to use instead of frozen raw when you're on the move. No defrosting and no "what do I do with half a block?" moments. Just open and serve.
Which Flavours Do We Offer?
Our Air-Dried Menu range comes in five proteins, so you can rotate and keep mealtimes interesting with a satisfying crunch.
Please note: our Air-Dried Menus are complementary foods. Feed them alongside our Fresh Menu range or your dog's current raw diet to make sure their overall diet is fully balanced.
How Much Should You Feed?
As a guide, a full daily portion is around 1–1.5% of your dog's body weight. For a 15kg dog, that's about 150–225g a day (15kg × 1% = 150g, 15kg × 1.5% = 225g). Because air-dried food is complementary, reduce this in line with how much Fresh Menu or raw food you're feeding alongside it.
| Dog's weight | Full portion at 1% | Full portion at 1.5% |
|---|---|---|
| 5kg | 50g | 75g |
| 10kg | 100g | 150g |
| 15kg | 150g | 225g |
| 20kg | 200g | 300g |
| 30kg | 300g | 450g |
For example, if air-dried food makes up half of a 15kg dog's diet, feed around 75–110g of it alongside half their usual Fresh Menu or raw portion. Full feeding guidelines are on every bag and on each product page.
Introducing Air-Dried Food
-
Start small
Add a little air-dried food to your dog's usual meals for the first couple of days.
-
Build up gradually
Increase the amount slowly over 5–7 days, reducing their other food to match.
-
Keep water available
Dry food has had its moisture removed, so make sure fresh drinking water is always on hand.
What Owners Notice with Our Air-Dried Menus
Owners who add our Air-Dried Menus to their dog's diet often tell us they notice:
- A shinier coat and healthier skin, with less itching and paw-licking
- Better digestion and fewer upset tummies
- More energy and enthusiasm at mealtimes
- Cleaner bowls, licked spotless
- Easier travel: just grab a bag and go
Because the food is minimally processed and fed in rotation, your dog gets a wide range of natural vitamins, minerals and antioxidants straight from real ingredients.
"Having had this food for some time I can say it's a firm favourite with my dog. The food is good quality and, unlike some other air-dried foods, it has a crunch and isn't powdery. Would definitely recommend."
Air-Dried Dog Food FAQs
What is air-dried dog food?
Air-dried dog food is made by gently drying real ingredients at low temperatures to remove moisture, instead of cooking them under high heat and pressure like kibble. Our Air-Dried Menus are made from human-grade European meat, offal, vegetables, fruit and oils, with no binders, fillers or artificial additives.
Is air-dried food better than kibble?
Air-drying is much gentler than extrusion, the high-heat, high-pressure process used for most kibble. It helps keep more of the natural nutrients and flavour of real ingredients and doesn't need starches or binders to hold its shape.
Can I feed the Air-Dried Menu on its own?
Our Air-Dried Menus are complementary foods, so they should be fed alongside our Fresh Menu range or your dog's current raw diet to make sure their overall diet is fully balanced.
How much air-dried food should I feed?
As a guide, a full daily portion is around 1–1.5% of your dog's body weight, or about 150–225g for a 15kg dog. Reduce this in line with how much Fresh Menu or raw food you feed alongside it, and check the feeding guide on each bag.
How long does air-dried food last once opened?
Our Air-Dried Menus come in black, resealable bags that protect the food from light. Once opened, they stay fresh for up to 6 weeks. Unopened bags are shelf-stable and need no freezing.
Can I use air-dried food alongside a raw diet?
Yes. Our Air-Dried Menus are designed to be fed alongside raw or our Fresh Menu, and they're a handy, no-thaw alternative to frozen raw when you're travelling or out for the day.
Which flavours are available?
Our Air-Dried Menu comes in five proteins: beef, chicken, salmon, lamb and horse. Rotating proteins keeps mealtimes interesting, and horse is a novel protein that can suit dogs with sensitivities.
