Complete feed for dogs.

How much to feed

As a starting point, feed about 2.5–3% of your dog's body weight a day, and around 4% for puppies up to 8 months. Split it across two meals if that suits your routine.

Dog Per day 400g jars
5kg puppy (under 8 months) about 200g ½ jar
5kg dog 125–150g about ⅓ jar
10kg dog 250–300g ⅔–¾ jar
15kg dog 375–450g about 1 jar
20kg dog 500–600g 1¼–1½ jars
30kg dog 750–900g 2–2¼ jars
40kg dog 1,000–1,200g 2½–3 jars

These amounts are for healthy, active adult dogs that haven't been neutered. Needs can vary by up to 50% with age, breed, activity and neutering, so use them as a guide and adjust to keep your dog at a healthy weight. If they're gaining weight, feed a little less. If they're losing weight or always hungry, feed a little more.

Developed with a vet

Our menus were developed with Anita Kröger, a holistic vet and founder of the Centre for Canine Health. As well as nutritional advice, she specialises in treating chronic conditions, especially intolerances, allergies and digestive problems.

Her approach is simple: a natural, varied, species-appropriate diet is one of the best things you can do for your dog's long-term health. That's why every Fidelis menu is built around fresh meat and offal, with vegetables, fruit, natural minerals and quality oils, and why we suggest rotating between flavours once your dog has settled in.

Sensitive tummies & allergies

This menu uses goat as its only animal protein, with no chicken, no grains and no gluten. Goat is a novel red meat for most dogs, which makes it a popular choice for sensitive dogs.

It does contain brewer's yeast, as well as sunflower and pumpkin seeds, so check the full ingredient list if your dog reacts to any of these.

If your dog has a diagnosed allergy or a medical condition, or is on a special diet prescribed by your vet, speak to your vet before switching.

Switching to Fidelis

Switch gradually over 5–7 days. Start with a small amount of Fresh Menu mixed into your dog's usual food, then increase it a little each day until you're feeding Fresh Menu on its own.

Stick to one flavour for the first 7–14 days so your dog's digestion can adjust. After that, you can rotate between flavours for more variety. Some dogs are happy with every flavour from day one, so let your dog's digestion and stools be your guide.

A slightly softer stool for the first few days is normal while your dog gets used to fresher food. If it carries on, slow the switch down.

Mixing with dry food? Lots of owners use Fresh Menu as a topper. Just reduce both foods in proportion so your dog isn't overfed.

Serving & storage

Unopened: keep in a cool, dry cupboard for up to 12 months. No fridge or freezer needed. See the best-before date on the lid.

Serving: open, spoon into the bowl and serve at room temperature. To warm it, transfer it to a bowl first (never microwave the glass jar) and check it isn't hot.

Once opened: reseal, refrigerate and use within 3–4 days. There are no preservatives, so treat it like any other fresh food.

Recycling: rinse the jar and put it in your glass recycling. Check your council's guidance for the lid.

Why glass? It doesn't affect the taste, leaves no metal or plastic residues, reseals and is easy to recycle.

Where and how it's made

Every jar is made in our own kitchen, so we control quality from start to finish. We use fresh, human-grade ingredients sourced from Europe.

We dice the goat meat and only lightly mince it, so it keeps its natural chunks. Vegetables and fruit are cut into bite-sized pieces. The meat is steam-cooked at 90°C, and the veg and fruit are only blanched. Oils, herbs and natural minerals go in at the end.

Each jar is then sealed and sterilised, just like a jar of pasta sauce or baby food. That's what keeps it shelf-stable for 12 months without preservatives. Every batch is checked before it leaves our kitchen.

Is it really complete? Yes. Our Goat with Carrot, Beetroot and Peach is a complete feed, so you can feed it on its own every day. Most of the nutrients come straight from the fresh ingredients, with a small top-up of vitamin D and trace minerals (listed under Full ingredients & nutrition) to make sure the recipe is fully balanced.

You'll see real chunks of meat and bite-sized veg, not pellets or paste.

Is it a complete food?

Yes. Every Fresh Menu is a complete feed, so you can feed it on its own every day. Most of the nutrients come straight from the fresh ingredients, with a small top-up of vitamin D and trace minerals to make sure each recipe is fully balanced.

You can also use it as a topper to make dry food more exciting.

How is it cooked?

We dice the meat and only lightly mince it, so it keeps its natural chunks. The meat is steam-cooked at 90°C, and the veg and fruit are only blanched to protect heat-sensitive vitamins. Oils, herbs and natural minerals go in at the end.

Every jar is made in our own kitchen using fresh, human-grade ingredients sourced from Europe.

Who developed the recipes?

Our menus were developed with Anita Kröger, a holistic vet and founder of the Centre for Canine Health, who specialises in intolerances, allergies and digestive problems.

Feeding

How much should I feed my dog?

As a starting point, feed about 2–3% of your dog's body weight a day if they weigh up to 15kg, 2–2.5% if they're over 15kg, and around 4% for puppies up to 8 months.

A 10kg dog needs around half a 400g jar a day. Needs vary with age, breed, activity and neutering, so adjust to keep your dog at a healthy weight. Our feeding guide above works it out for you.

How do I switch my dog to Fresh Menu?

Switch gradually over 5–7 days. Mix a little Fresh Menu into your dog's usual food and increase it each day until you're feeding Fresh Menu on its own.

Stick to one flavour for the first 7–14 days, then rotate for variety. A slightly softer stool for the first few days is normal. If it carries on, slow the switch down.

Is it suitable for dogs with sensitive tummies or allergies?

Many owners choose Fresh Menu for dogs with sensitive tummies. Every recipe is different, so check the full ingredient list on each menu if your dog reacts to anything.

If your dog has a diagnosed allergy or medical condition, or is on a diet prescribed by your vet, speak to your vet before switching.

How should I serve it?

Open the jar, spoon it into the bowl and serve at room temperature. To warm it, move it to a bowl first (never microwave the glass jar) and check it isn't hot.

Storage & packaging

Does it need to go in the fridge?

Not until it's opened. Unopened jars keep in a cool, dry cupboard for up to 12 months, with no fridge or freezer needed. Check the best-before date on the lid.

How long does it keep once opened?

Reseal the jar, keep it in the fridge and use within 3–4 days. There are no preservatives, so treat it like any other fresh food.

How does it last 12 months without preservatives?

After cooking, each jar is sealed and sterilised at 120°C, just like a jar of pasta sauce or baby food. That's what keeps it shelf-stable with no artificial preservatives.

Why glass jars?

Glass doesn't affect the taste, leaves no metal or plastic residues, reseals easily and is simple to recycle. Just rinse the jar and put it in your glass recycling, and check your council's guidance for the lid.
