Which ingredients do we use & why?

Chicken Meat (47%)
Chicken meat is considered particularly lean and offers many benefits for our furry friends: it provides high-quality proteins without too many calories. It is rich in Omega-6 fatty acids, supports skin health, and promotes a shiny coat. It is an excellent source of essential amino acids and glucosamine, which promotes bone health.

Chicken Necks (20%)
Chicken necks contain a lot of high-quality muscle meat, as well as rich cartilage. The muscle meat is relatively low in fat but very rich in proteins. It contains important B vitamins and unsaturated fatty acids, which are important for your dog's skin and coat health. Magnesium and potassium in the meat are important for various metabolic processes.

Chicken Hearts (5%)
Chicken hearts have a particularly high content of taurine, making them very valuable for dogs. Additionally, they are rich in protein, healthy fats like Omega-6, iron, and B vitamins.

Chicken Stomachs (5%)
Chicken stomachs are particularly high quality as they contain pre-digested grain remnants. The bacteria in chicken stomachs have already broken these down into high-quality protein. They have an important promoting effect on the dog's digestion.

Chicken Liver (3%)
Chicken liver contains larger amounts of vitamin A, B1, B2, B12, C, and D, as well as iron and potassium. Liver is relatively low in fat and rich in protein, making it generally well tolerated.

Carrots (5%)
In addition to energy, fibre and low calories, carrots are healthy because they are an excellent source of vitamins and minerals. Vitamin A and biotin are particularly worth mentioning here. Carrots are rich in beta-carotene, which is converted into vitamin A in the body.

Peas (5%)
Peas contain many vitamins. In addition to beta-carotene, peas are particularly rich in B vitamins and also contain vitamin C. Peas also score highly in terms of minerals: Magnesium, iron, calcium and zinc make them a particularly healthy vegetable side dish.

Apples (3.5%)
Apples are suitable for a healthy diet because they contain many vitamins, minerals and trace elements such as potassium, calcium, B vitamins, vitamin C, vitamin E, folic acid, pectins and polyphenols.

Pumpkin (3%)
Pumpkin provides many vitamins, including beta-carotene (as a precursor to vitamin A), vitamin C and vitamin E. Minerals such as potassium, magnesium, calcium and iron as well as satiating fibre are also included. Fibre also aids digestion.

Salmon Oil (2%)
Salmon oil is an important source of fatty acids, particularly omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. The addition of salmon oil can have some decisive effects that ensure a long and healthy life for your furry friend, e.g. a better coat or faster healing of skin diseases.

Rosehip (0.5%)
In addition to vitamin C, rosehips also contain numerous other ingredients that have a positive effect on health. These include: Fruit acids, essential oils, pectins, tannins, silicic acid, the antioxidants lycopene and flavonoids, the vitamins provitamin A, vitamin B1 and B2 as well as vitamin E, the minerals zinc, copper, sodium, phosphorus, iron, calcium and magnesium.

Algae Lime (0.5%)
Algae lime consists of deposits of red algae. It contains mainly calcium carbonate, as well as magnesium carbonate and trace elements (boron, iodine, silicic acid) and thus prevents a deficiency of minerals and trace elements. The high calcium content supports the stability of bones and teeth and balances out the excess phosphorus from meat feeding, which can otherwise lead to kidney problems.

Blueberries (0.2%)
Blueberries are rich in vitamin C, fiber, and antioxidants. They also have less fruit sugar than other fruits and are therefore also suitable for dogs with diabetes. They are full of vitamins C, A, B, and E and contain a high proportion of minerals such as calcium, potassium, and phosphorus.

Brewer's Yeast (0.2%)
Brewer's yeast contains lots of vitamins and minerals and is also a good source of protein. It also stimulates the metabolism and helps to keep blood sugar levels constant.

Seaweed Powder (0.1%)
Seaweed meal contains many minerals such as zinc and carotenoids which support the skin metabolism and the pigmentation of the coat, nose and paw pads. The amino acid lysine it contains optimises feed conversion; cellulose and mannitol support digestion.

How much to feed

Daily feeding guide

Puppies up to 8 months: approximately 3-4% of body weight
Dogs up to 15 kg: approximately 1-1.5% of body weight
Dogs over 15 kg: approximately 1-1.5% of body weight

Example: A 20 kg dog with a recommended daily allowance of 1% would need 200g of food per day (20 kg * 1% = 200g).

Dog Per day
5kg puppy (under 8 months) 150–200g
5kg dog 50–75g
10kg dog 100–150g
15kg dog 150–225g

Developed with a vet

Is everything in there?

As a holistic vet, Anita Kröger attaches particular importance to a species-appropriate, natural and varied diet when it comes to dog health. From the perspective of holistic veterinary medicine, nutrition plays a key role in a dog's long and healthy life. The vet and founder of the Centre for Canine Health specialises in the treatment of chronic diseases in addition to providing medical nutritional advice. She specialises in intolerances, allergies and gastrointestinal diseases.

Sensitive tummies & allergies

This menu is a light and easily digestible meal built around chicken as its main animal protein, with no rice or other cereals in the recipe.

It does contain salmon oil, peas and brewer's yeast, so check the full ingredient list if your dog reacts to fish or any of these.

If your dog has a diagnosed allergy or a medical condition, or is on a special diet prescribed by your vet, speak to your vet before switching.

Switching to Fidelis

FIDELIS recommends switching your dog's food immediately. Skip one meal (preferably in the evening) and start with our food at the next meal. Feed a single flavour for the first 7 days to allow your dog's stomach to adjust. After two weeks, you can alternate between different flavours.

Serving & storage

Preparation: Open the bag, pour the desired amount of food into the bowl, and you're done! Soaking the food is not necessary. Of course, your dog should always have access to plenty of fresh water.

Storage: Store the food protected from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture. Opened bags can be easily resealed thanks to the ziplock closure and will keep for several weeks.

Why air-dried?

Unlike conventional dry foods, which are mass-produced mainly from inferior ingredients such as animal meals and vegetable by-products and extruded at high temperatures, our dry menus are gently air-dried in our factory. Our air-drying technology is a modern interpretation of centuries-old meat preservation techniques.

Through our gentle manufacturing process and the use of only fresh meat, offal, vegetables, fruits, and oils, essential nutrients contained directly in the original ingredients are preserved, allowing us to avoid artificial vitamins.

No high temperatures, no animal meals, no vegetable by-products, no fillers, no artificial vitamin additives, no extrusion, no sterilized cans.

The result: A healthy dry food with all the nutrients from the fresh original ingredients, which tastes and smells as good as it looks.

100% natural and 0% artificial additives. Developed with veterinarians and made with love.

FIDELIS' air-dried dog food was developed to combine the best of raw and fresh nutrition with the safe convenience of dry food. An alternative to our fresh menus, for on-the-go and for those who don't have refrigeration options. Simply portion and serve!

Good stuff.

Never used this Air Dried food before, so chose a 2.5kg pack of Chicken to see how my dog likes it. So far all is good, not upset his stomach at all, and he seems to teally enjoy it, so i will try other flavours in the future to see how they go. Recommend this food to anyone wondering if they should try it.

Air Dried Menu questions

Everything you need to know about the Air Dried Chicken Menu and the rest of our Air Dried Menus.

About the food

What makes air-dried food different from kibble?

Conventional dry food is usually mass-produced from animal meals and vegetable by-products and extruded at high temperatures. Our menus are gently air-dried in our own factory, using only fresh meat, offal, vegetables, fruit and oils.

There's no extrusion, no animal meal, no fillers and no artificial vitamins or additives. The nutrients come straight from the original fresh ingredients.

What goes into each menu?

Every menu is made from around 80% meat and offal, combined with vegetables, fruit, salmon oil and natural minerals such as algae lime, rosehip and seaweed meal. Each product page lists the full composition and analytical constituents.

How is it different from your Fresh Menus?

We use the same healthy, fresh ingredients as our Fresh Menus. The Air Dried Menus are a convenient alternative for feeding on the go or if you don't have fridge space: simply portion and serve.

Who developed the recipes?

Our menus were developed with Anita Kröger, a holistic vet and founder of the Centre for Canine Health, who specialises in intolerances, allergies and digestive problems.

Feeding

How much should I feed?

As a starting point, feed about 1–1.5% of your dog's body weight a day, and around 3–4% for puppies up to 8 months. For example, a 20kg dog at 1% needs about 200g a day.

These are guidelines for healthy, active, non-neutered dogs. Needs can vary by up to 50% with age, breed and activity, so adjust to keep your dog at a healthy weight.

How do I switch my dog to Air Dried?

We recommend switching straight away: skip one meal (ideally in the evening) and start with our food at the next one.

Feed a single flavour for the first 7 days so your dog's stomach can adjust. After two weeks, you can alternate between flavours.

Do I need to soak it?

No. Just open the bag, pour the right amount into the bowl and serve. Always make sure your dog has plenty of fresh water available.

Is it a complete food?

Our Air Dried Menus are labelled as a complementary feed for dogs. Check the feeding information on each product page, and speak to your vet if you're unsure how to build it into your dog's diet.

Choosing & storing

My dog has allergies. Which menu should I choose?

Each menu is named after its main protein, so it's easy to avoid one your dog reacts to. Our lamb and horse menus are popular hypoallergenic choices. Check the full ingredients on each product page.

If your dog has a diagnosed allergy or a medical condition, speak to your vet before switching.

Which bag sizes are available?

Each menu comes in 1kg, 2.5kg and 5kg bags, so you can choose the size that suits your dog.

How should I store it?

Keep the bag away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture. No fridge needed.

How long does it keep once opened?

Reseal the bag with the ziplock closure and it will keep for several weeks.

Delivery & orders

How much is delivery?

Standard (2–4 working days): £4.99, or free on orders over £49.
Express (1–2 working days): £7.99, or £3.99 on orders over £49.

When will my order be dispatched?

Order by 2pm, Monday to Friday, and we aim to dispatch the same day.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver across the whole of the UK, including the Scottish Highlands, Scottish Islands and Channel Islands, with no extra charge.

Can I return my order?

You can cancel within 14 days of receiving your order. For health and hygiene reasons, bags must be unopened with the seal intact. If anything arrives faulty or damaged, get in touch and we'll put it right.
