Beef Head Skin with Hair (Fur)

The extra-hard Fidelis beef head skin with hair is a natural, healthy alternative to conventional “chew bones,” which are mostly produced in Asia and made from tanned beef hide that is often treated with chemicals. Fidelis beef head skin is made from 100% fresh, untreated, and therefore natural beef head skin. It is slightly thicker on the outside, very hard, and has a meaty core in the center. The hard consistency helps strengthen the teeth and chewing muscles. The head skin is left with hair on it. The hair is usually not fully digested but instead helps clean the intestinal walls (intestinal villi) and is then excreted.

The natural beef skin contains high-quality collagen. As a structural protein, collagen provides tensile strength to connective tissue and is found wherever elasticity and strength are important: in the skin, ligaments and tendons, cartilage, bones, skeletal muscles, blood vessels, and even in teeth.
