Our chewing strips, look like meat, taste at least as delicious, but consist exclusively of healthy insect larvae of the black soldier fly. And they are made exclusively from fresh insect larvae and not just with a small percentage of insect larvae or even worse insect meal. The snacks smell deliciously of nuts and are eaten with pleasure by every dog. Our patented double fillets consist of two layers. At the bottom you will find the delicious fillet of insect larvae and on top there is a delicious fillet of market fresh pumpkin.
The carefully selected insect larvae are bred in special farms. The larvae feed mainly on food scraps, consume hardly any water and grow within a few days. The larvae are crushed and shaped and then gently air-dried. That's all. We do not use any additives, preservatives, insect meals or other fillers in the process. Our air-drying technology is a modern interpretation of centuries-old meat preservation techniques.
Insect larvae contain high-quality protein, a high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids, vitamins and minerals such as copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, selenium and zinc. So they are good sources of nutrients, nutritious and healthy. And the high-quality amino acid composition of insect protein is optimal especially for dogs and in some cases better than meat. The pumpkin fillet "On Top" is made from market fresh pumpkin with gentle air drying.
The FIDELIS Insect Chew Strips with Pumpkin are made with a dash of natural Guar Gum. This comes from the seeds of the Cyamopsis tree native to India. Guar binds the crushed larvae and pumpkins together and provides the soft and chewy texture of the chewy strip that dogs love so much.
